Our very first shoot with Haute Shots Boudoir Photograpy was hot, hot, hot! Once again, we had the chance to do a vintage Vargas Girl look, one of our favorite styles. Miss Eve was so lovely and easy to work with, and she had the perfect look to pull off the style.
On a regular basis, my makeup work is more glamorous, for models or brides. I get so used to the sparkle that it takes a moment to remember how to do an application for more conservative jobs, like the one I did recently….
While her husband was attending a conference here in Las Vegas, the lovely Mrs. A was busy… playing! I’m not quite sure how her husband managed to concentrate during his business meetings all-the-while knowing that his beautiful wife was getting special photos taken just for him!
On Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Hera Beauty took part in Alfred Angelo Bridal’s Girls’ Night Out Event. Whitney, Rachel and Kat were on hand, demonstrating a little bit of what we do- helping brides discover their inner goddess!
For Jackie’s wedding, she wanted to go with a vintage Vegas theme. They were, after all, getting married by Elvis! Wedding photographers by trade, Jackie and her friends were so much fun and had just the best energy!
Recently, Bird, a friend of Hera Beauty and one of Las Vegas’ own Suicide Girls had a photo session with photographer Ryan Reason. Bird wanted a vibrant look using red and black tones, to coordinate with the location decor and the outfit she would be wearing. The results? As said by Aesop, it is not only fine feathers that make fine birds!
Kat & Whitney were absolutely fabulous! Coming from the east coast and not knowing who to book, I received a few responses but talking to Kat made me most comfortable. I booked her mainly on her sweet personality, and I couldn’t have had better intuition. I wanted something classic in terms of hair & makeup (as the whole Elvis thing was already over the top!) and as we are wedding photographers and deal a lot with hair & makeup artists, maybe we are even picky. Perfect choice…could not be happier with the job they did! -Jackie
