Ooh La La! Miss J Struts Her Stuff!
✴I wasn’t naked, I was completely covered by a blue spotlight. ~ Gypsy Rose Lee✴
Schooled in the art of Burlesque, Miss J brought her act from the City by the Bay to Sin City, and taught us a thing or two about SEXY! Her wardrobe and accessories were so cute and so much fun… these sneek peeks are just the tip of the iceburg!

Miss Eve, The Pin-up
Our very first shoot with Haute Shots Boudoir Photograpy was hot, hot, hot! Once again, we had the chance to do a vintage Vargas Girl look, one of our favorite styles. Miss Eve was so lovely and easy to work with, and she had the perfect look to pull off the style.
Thanks to Stacie and HauteShots.net for providing us the photos!

Un-makeup Makeup
On a regular basis, my makeup work is more glamorous, for models or brides. I get so used to the sparkle that it takes a moment to remember how to do an application for more conservative jobs, like the one I did recently.
A good refresher course on the basics, this job was for a medical post-grad school’s marketing materials. The subjects were a combination of men and women, of various ages and skin tones. It was fun (and slightly intimidating!) doing natural makeup again after such a long time, but it was good practice in basic corrective makeup for studio-lit photos. It was also great practice using traditional makeup again! Using an airbrush for most of my jobs has really spoiled me- although I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of coverage I was able to achieve using mineral foundation powders. I also got a chance to use my BeneFit Benetint lip balm which gives just a hint of color and a touch of natural glossiness to give the lips a natural look!

More From Bird’s Latest Photoshoot
Bird’s Session
Recently, Bird, a friend of Hera Beauty and one of Las Vegas’ own Suicide Girls had a photo session with photographer Ryan Reason. Bird wanted a vibrant look using red and black tones, to coordinate with the location decor and the outfit she would be wearing. The results? As said by Aesop, it is not only fine feathers that make fine birds!
