The formula plus the comb applicator really separate and build without clumps, but I've noticed that when used on the lower lashes, it gets kind of smudgy after a few hours. Whitney SWEARS by L'Oreal's Voluminous Mascara which has been around for a long time and has many fans. Of course, there is always the famous pink-and-green tube of Maybelline's Great Lash mascara that is a never-fail product. I recently purchased L'Oreal's Extra Volume Collagen mascara in their waterproof formula and HATED it. It went on smooth and clump-free for the first one or two uses, but every time after it's been a clumpy mess. I tried applying it fast... and slow... wiggle... straight... all clumps. Sorry Eva Longoria, but this mascara doesn't do it for me. Can't wait to try out the new Pulse Perfection Vibrating mascara from Maybelline. Since Lancome came out with their Oscillation mascara I've been wanting to try it, but I just can't justify a $28 mascara that I might not like. I'm not the biggest fan of Lancome mascaras... they smell funny to me. But I'll give the $15 Maybelline version a try!
